MICKYS ART
PROJECT | BRAND REALIGNMENT +
COLLATERAL DESIGN
Instead of representing artists through a traditional gallery, Michael identified a gap in the market to democratise art collecting by building an online platform that connects galleries, artists and consumers from all over the world.
Mickys art is an online space where the number of gallery walls, opening hours, entry fees and location doesn’t restrict the size of the collection or the access to great art, having grown into one of the largest contemporary collections in the world.
They partner with galleries and collaborate with commissioned projects and exhibitions, featuring work that comes at any price - nothing too small or too big. The art is hand-selected, critiqued and added regularly by their team of talented art advisors with years of knowledge.
Having been approached by Michael he mentioned he was amidst refreshing his digital channels and could not locate the logo assets he once had created (by branding agency Cord & Berg) and asked if I could recreate these for him but would also like to use this opportunity to look at some possible brand refinements.
He explained that the current visual identity had established itself as a renown brand within its space, so he doesn't want to veer too far from it's current design. So we will explore some different typefaces and potentially the size of the graphic could be experimented with.
Once a final identity is selected and a logo asset library provided, Michael explained he also needed a client brochure. He mentioned the current process is cumbersome and it would be great to establish a template to allow for a consistent design that aligns with the brand and can be quickly executed for clients. once the template design is finalised and approved, he will then email me to prepare brochures for prospective clients as required.
