I was so excited by the theme of Sascha's first birthday when I met with his mum, Jess. My mind just exploded with all of the cute possibilities. She explained that one of his favourite songs was 'Old Macdonald

had a farm' and so she wanted to do a farm animal theme. She had hired out an old stable as the venue and also organised for some bales of hay for the day - so adorable! 

 

She explained she'd love for the invitation to include some farm animal cartoons as well as a little boy to represent Sascha. So away I went and mocked up 3 different concepts and she just loved the above one. I envisioned applying farm animals created from felt to the invitations as an additional sensory texture, and even create matching felt finger puppets for the party bags but Jess really loved the invitations as is. And so I carried the theme across all of the material she requested and the day was a huge success - a beautiful party for a beautiful little boy.
